OK- so it’s not Sunday, but a girl’s still gotta have some fun during the week. I was invited to have dinner with two of my best gals. On the menu: a fresh and delicious Tuna Nicoise salad. I was in charge of wine and decided to bring over the Saarloos & Sons Daughter’s Chardonnay I picked up while in Los Olivos.

Turned out to be a yummy pairing! The wine is creamy without being too rich, which balanced the tanginess of the mustard vinaigrette and accented the creaminess of the potatoes and tuna. I am not much of a Chardonnay drinker, especially a California Chardonnay, but this is just a lovely well-balanced and elegant wine.
And Keith autographed the bottle for me. I feel special. Tee-hee.

Notice the glasses? Breakin’ the law!
