I began this blog in July of 2009 with the express interest of creating a place where I could document the epic Italian journey I was about to embark upon. It served a dual purpose of also letting my mother know that I hadn’t been kidnapped by rogue Italian men and held captive somewhere in Ischia.

After 3 months of solo travel and some of the most beautiful experiences a lady could ask for in life…I returned, back to my home in Los Angeles. And I kept writing and taking pictures. I love taking pictures.

I am a Certified Sommelier. I work in a really rad wine shop and as a sommelier at a really fab Italian restaurant. I’m from Lexington, Kentucky. I shoot with a Canon 40D that a friend very kindly sold me for super cheap. I try to figure out how to get myself back to Italy as often as monetarily possible.  And if you’d like to hear the sound of my voice on a weekly basis, check out my podcast The Crush.
